Highlights

 In 2003, he caught 37 passes for 628 yards and two touchdowns and his average of 17.0 yards per catch ranked second in the AFC (4th NFL). In his first season in Denver, Lelie led all AFC rookies in receiving yards (4th NFL) and ranked third among AFC rookies (6th NFL) in receptions. Also, his 35 catches were the most by a Broncos rookie since running back Terrell Davis caught 49 out of the backfield in 1995 and ranked as the fourth best rookie out put in Broncos history. For the season, Lelie caught three passes of 40 yards or longer, four passes of 30 yards or longer and nine passes of 20 yards or longer. He was the Broncos’ first-round selection (19th overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft.  After four seasons with the Broncos, the team traded him to the Atlanta Falcons prior to the 2006 season and after one season with the Falcons, Ashley decided to return to California and signed with the San Francisco 49ers for the 2007 season.

2006:
  • Joined Atlanta through a trade midway through training camp
  • Started in 10 of 15 games played, missing the season finale at Philadelphia due to a shoulder injury suffered vs. Carolina (12-24)
  • Finished the season with 28 receptions for 430 yards (15.4 avg.) and one touchdown
  • Recorded a season-high 61 yards receiving, including a 51-yard catch vs. Arizona (10-1)
  • Caught a season-high four passes for 58 yards (14.5 avg.) in the Falcons 41-38 victory vs. Pittsburgh (10-22)
  • Started at wide receiver and posted three catches for 55 yards (18.3 avg.) in the 29-27 win at Cincinnati (10-29)

  • Played in all 16 games, starting 13, including the first eight, making 42 catches for 770 yards, including a season-long 56-yarder and a touchdown, also rushed five times for 84 yards
  • Played his 50th NFL game in the home opener vs. S.D. (9/18), catching six passes for 62 yards, including a 16-yarder
  • Matched his 16-yard catch as well as rushing twice for 56 yards, including a career-long 39-yard run, on Monday Night Football vs. K.C. (9/26)
  • Caught three passes for 81 yards, including a season-long 55-yarder vs. N.E. (10/16).
  • Caught two passes for 74 yards on successive plays, including a 55-yarder, to help set up Plummer’s 6-yard touchdown pass to Smith against the Patriots
  • Led the team with five catches for 64 yards, including a 26-yard reception at NYG (10/23)
  • Caught three passes for 81 yards, including a 37-yarder, vs. Phi. (10/30)
  • Caught three passes for 76 yards, including a 41-yard reception at Oak. (11/13)
  • Made four catches for 81 yards (to match his season high), including a game-long 49-yarder to help set up Elam’s 47-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter
  • Made one catch for 40 yards and rushed once for 13 yards in helping clinch a playoff spot at Buf. (12/17)
  • Posted season highs with six catches (matched) for 110 yards vs. Oak. (12/24) to help the team clinch the second seed of the AFC playoffs. He also rushed once for seven yards against the Raiders.
  • Eclipsed the 3,000-receiving yard plateau for his career.
2004:
  • With 1,084 receiving yards on 54 catches, Lelie eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career.
  • All seven of his touchdown receptions were longer than 30 yards (38, 37, 40, 35, 31, 39 and 33 yds.).
  • He led the NFL in touchdown receptions greater than 30 yards.
  • With seven touchdown catches of 30 or more yards this season, he posted the second-highest single-season total of touchdown receptions greater than 30 yards in franchise history (behind Anthony Miller’s 10 in 1995).           
  • Lelie led the NFL with a 20.1 yards-per-reception average, a mark that is the franchise’s best in 17 years and fifth all-time.
  • He posted the fourth 100-yard receiving game of his career and first this season at S.D. (12/5). 
  •  Lelie recorded back-to-back six-catch games at Cin. (10/25) and vs. Atl. (10/31).
  • He made an acrobatic 33-yard touchdown catch in the end zone from Jake Plummer on fourth-and-9 vs. S.D. (9/26) that proved to be the game-winning score.
  • Against the Panthers (10/10), he hauled in a 39-yard fourth-quarter Jake Plummer pass in the corner of the end zone that proved to be the game winner.
2003:
  • Lelie saw action in all 16 games and started 10, catching 37 passes for 628 yards (17.0) and two touchdowns with a long of 60. He also rushed eight times for 43 yds. (5.4) with a long of 13.
  • Lelie's average of 17.0 yds. per catch ranked second in the AFC (4th NFL).
  • He started in the home opener vs. Oak. (9/22). Lelie finished the game with three catches for a then career-high 108 yds. and a touchdown.
  • It was his second-career 100-yd. game, both of which have come against the Raiders.
  • Against S.D. (11/16), Lelie caught two passes for 57 yds. (28.5) including a 48-yd. grab that tied the longest catch of his career.
  • Lelie re-emerged vs. Cle. (12/14) by catching four passes for 71 yds. (17.8), including a crucial 46-yd. grab to put the trailing Broncos in field goal range with less than 20 seconds to play and help force the game into overtime.
  • He registered five receptions at Ind. (12/21) for a career-high 115 yds. (23.0), including a career-long 60-yd. reception that set up the Broncos' first touchdown. 
  •  It was Lelie's third career 100-yd. game.
2002:
  • Lelie played in all 16 games and made one start (vs. Buf., 9/22), catching 35 passes for 525 yds. (team best 15.0 average) with a long of 48 and two touchdowns.
  • He led all AFC rookies in receiving yds. (4th NFL) and ranked third among AFC rookies (6th NFL) in receptions.
  • His 35 catches were the most by a Broncos rookie since running back Terrell Davis caught 49 out of the backfield in 1995.
  • For the season, Lelie caught three passes of 40 yds. or longer, four passes of 30 yds. or longer and nine passes of 20 yds. or longer.
  • Lelie had four receptions for a career-high 106 yds. (26.5) at Oak. (12/22), including a career-best 48-yd. reception from Beuerlein.
  • It was the first 100-yd. receiving game of Lelie's career.

COLLEGE:
  • Lelie finished his career at Hawaii as the Rainbow Warriors’ all-time leader in receptions (194), receiving yds. (3,341) and touchdown receptions (32), and averaged 17.2 yds. per catch.
  • He was a first-team All-Western Athletic Conference selection and broke the WAC single-season records for receiving yds. (1,713) and touchdowns (19) while also tying the WAC record for most 200-yd. games in a season (3).
  • He ranked first in the conference and second in the nation in receiving yds. per game (142.8) and ranked third in the WAC and ninth in the nation in receptions per game (7.0).
  • Lelie also ranked fourth in the WAC and 19th in the nation in all-purpose yardage (142.8) and led the Warriors in receiving yds. in 9-of-12 games.
  • He teamed with wide receiver Channon Harris to catch an average of 12.75 passes in 2001, forming the sixth best duo in the nation.
  • As a sophomore, Lelie started every game at the "Z" receiver slot and finished third in the WAC in receptions per game (6.17) and third in receiving yds. per game (92.5).
  • Lelie led the team in receptions (74), receiving yds. (1110), touchdowns (11), all-purpose yds. (92.5) and scoring (66), and gained over 100 yds. receiving in three contests, while adding three games with at least two touchdown catches.
  • Lelie played in every game his redshirt freshman year, starting seven at the "Z" receiver slot and finished fourth on the team with 36 catches for 518 yds. (14.4 avg.) and two touchdowns.
